Deltas – Eleanna Anagnos
Deltas – Eleanna Anagnos
Eleanna Anagnos’ work investigates phenomenon outside of our definable experience. The uppercase Delta (Δ) in the Greek alphabet can be used to denote a change in a changeable quantity in mathematics, the area of a triangle, the symmetric difference of two sets, and the uncertainty in a physical variable. Delta also refers to the mouth of where rivers merge. These are ideas circulating in Eleanna’s work. Cast in hydrocal and hand-painted, the works hover above the surface of the wall and reflect light from their neon bottoms, shifting in natural light. The current installation of the Deltas activates a corner of the room, where two triangles meet at the seam, creating a parallelogram.
