Viewing hours: June 29th and 30th, 1 - 6 pm and by appointment
Opening Reception: Thursday June 28th, 6 – 8 pm

Ortega y Gasset Projects is pleased to present Vice Versa, a group exhibition of emerging artists from California College of the Arts. The exhibition features works by Lucia Aguilar, Justin Joseph, Eunha Kim, Joanna Jiyoun Lee, Rivka Louissaint, Hannah Moller, Jessica Oler, Chanell Stone, Pin-Yu Wang, Di Wu, and Gabriela Yoque. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, June 28th, 6-8pm.

The artworks in this exhibition are diverse in subject and approaches to making, including painting, photography, and installation. Themes of the body, identity, nature, and politics are explored. Abstraction and craft are celebrated. Vice versa means a change of order, a reversal of relationships. Although each artist’s approach is unique, the group as a whole is driven to question the order of things, and shares an urgency to make a mark through artistic expression.

California College of the Arts has a strong reputation for its unique summer study-abroad programs, designed and led by CCA faculty. This collaboration between CCA and the Brooklyn-based, artist-run gallery Ortega y Gasset Projects introduces students to artists and art-world professionals through studio visits and meetings, and culminates in a group exhibition at the gallery.
